I have a Type R strut bar, and I want to put it on my LS. Since there aren't any stock bolts for me to use, what size bolts and washers should I buy? Also, do I have to take off my wheels in order for me to install it? TIA

 

I think the bolts from the factory are size 12. I'm not sure about the length though.

 

I went to home depot hoping to find some nuts and bolts but no luck. Does anyone know where I should get the nuts and bolts. TIA

 

auto parts store? you could even get it in metric, if they stock them. make sure you get some of some decent hardness, though. another alternative is to email Mike K and see if acura sells these things.

 

Yeah, if you talk to Mike K, he should be able to help you out with bolt and washer sizes...he's the ****. and no, you don't have to take your wheels off

I know the part exists, cause I got a set of these bolts (2 bolts attached to a special figure 8 plate that mounts from underneat) when I bought my Comptech front upper tie bar. If you call up comptech (www.comptechusa.com) they may be able to send you just those bolts... Just a thought! I would offer mine, but I put them on my friends car with my old GSR bar...
