Also if vtec is working,

How old is the motor ? You might have a motor that is in bad condition. Compression check anyone. Does it burn oil at all.

to check vtec, connect +12V to vtec solenoid for split second and see it the solenoid is clicking.

Default swapped d16z6 into crx, having problems!!

just finished swapping a 92 soch vtec into my 90 crx. i used to have a d16 a6. Im very dissappointed of the outcome. d16z6 feels much slower than d16a6. i feel like i lost lots pf power. using manual switch to detonate vtec. just lost to an rs iteg . using 90 si ecu. what should i do ?????

check that the rev switch is working get a multimeter to it and see if it is getting any voltage. you might be a sohc with no vtec.
