Shift/Buddy Club CF hood (pics)
These came into A&J yesterday.
They're really light and the quality is unbelievably good. This is the hood used by the Buddy Club DC5R.
The air vent is functional, and the hood comes with a rain guard for daily use
It also has the mounting holes for the stock hood liner, just like the Spoon CF hoods, so no hood flapping at high speed and no need for hood pins

So CF hood would imply a weight saving - whats the stock hood weights, whats this hoods weight, and what are the weights of some other CF hoods from other suppliers?
For pricing, check with the board sponsors, IPS or R&D
The hood is very light... it's lighter than the Spoon EK and DC CF hoods (although the sizes are different). I will TRY to weigh this hood sometime.
For a street car, the weight savings really don't matter that much. For a track car, every weight reduction helps of course. The nice thing about this hood is that it does include a functional air duct. On the track, the air duct helps reduce engine bay temperatures by 30-40%.

I am intending to weigh parts of my car so we have can have a 'stock' weight per part repository so that anyone wanting to go lightweight such as myself, can compare parts to stock weights.
Good idea on the weighing thing,.....
THAT HOOd is Kool and the gang,...I love it,..I will have one!!!!when,..is the answer!
it is funny how we put carbon fiber hoods on to lose weight,...and we are losing it where we need it most I think,..but hey,.weight is weight,...every little bit helps.Right?Carbon fiber hatchs need to be what to look out for.I think they have them for the Eg's and Ek's.+ my car is black,.I'll get every carbon fiber part they make.,.hahahahaha
