Default Im all ears!!! I need bigger slicks!!! Which ones?????

Hey dudes I need some help figuring out which slick/wheel setup I should advance to cause last year my MT 20-8.00-14 slicks on steelies were not doing there job!!! I have us b16 pistons in my 95 ls 11.7-1 comp crower 404s and a b16 tranny in my 90 ef hatch. Im leaning towards maybe the 22-8.00-13" slicks from MH but I am not sure, will 13" steelies wear 8" wide slicks and will 22" diameter be a big difference from my 20" diameter MTs cause I have to run like 14 psi in my setup now and everyone at the track is like man you got a flat cause it looks like Im riding on the rim, and even with that low of pressure the bitches spin and its not cause bad track conditions or lack of heating up the slicks. Thanks for any informative suggestions guys!!!!!

i dont know about that 14 psi man i run 6psi in with my setup but i think youll be happy with the 22's and buy an aftermarket wheel for them because the steelies are not wide enough thats why you spin you need a wider contact patch as for tire brand m&h all the way he is a member on here so i am sure he will chime in

Go there and contact expospeed. They are making lenso skinnies soon! Regardless though, they could hook u up with a M&H+Lenso Combo. I say go with 22inchx8x13s. It should be good for your setup.

Just like what everyone said, the 22x8x13 is the perfect size for what you have.

You are probably making in the range of 160-180HP so that size would be just right. The 22x8x13 is actually the most common size too and can be used in setups making about 220-230hp and as low as 125-130hp.

We have slicks and the VPD wheels ready to go. We mount them, balance, with metal valve stems so when it gets to your door, all you have to do is put in the right tire pressure and you're set.

Here's the slick and wheel deal we are doing right now.

Thanks matador for the link.

Here's a pic a few years ago, one of my friends with the VPD on 22x8x13.

Another pic of the 22x8x13 on Wicked Racing's EK
