Default New Brake Upgrade or New rims

Well i have never tracked my car, but i am a spirited driver. I want to go to VIR or one of the tracks one day. I came across a good seet of 16'' slipstreams in black for around 4-500. My dilemma is that for around that i can get cobalt rotors/pads/ and stainless lines. Any suggestions? It a hard choice with tax returns and track season right around the corner.

and just so this tread isn't super lame here's a pic of the R

if you plan to track, then go w/ the brakes.

Something to think about though is that the pads you would want to run on the track are probably not going to be the ones you would use on the street. You shouldn't really ever skimp on brakes however.

They dust much more then stock, but its not too bad...and with GM wheels you really can't tell all that much.

id stay with the itr rims over any rota wheel, and go all out on the brakes. itr rims are pretty light already from factory, so my opinion is that they make for a good track rim, just get better rubber and brake setup

Go with the brakes! Axxis Ultimates are a step down from the Cobalt GT's. But I'd stick with the GT's.
