I live in the Sanford/Lake Mary area, the shops named before are good shops, racing zone is kind of expensive. Another shop in the area right here on 17-92 is racing works, about five minutes up 17-92 from lake mary blvd. A drag strip is only 20 minutes away on 417, it's off hwy 50, way down in Bithlo. Now adays it's packed with people that wanna race, but there are so many peopleyou get there at 6 you get one run in by 10 o'clock, it's really kind of nutz. As for apartments, there all over the place, A new one just popped up next to my house, nice too.

If you are moving to Sanford/north Orlando then you are moving to central FL.
About shops, there are plenty in the Orlando area. Racing Zone (436 just south of 50) All Version (Curry Ford road west of Conway) Titan ( goldenroad just north of 50) and a whole bunch of smaller shops.
And when it comes to apartments, this town has more than its fair share of apartments, just grab one of the free apartment guide books.

Good luck
