Default shift linkage question

i have a 89 honda crx hf with a 95 b18b1 swap-93 b18a1 cable trans. today my shift linkage broke and it was a custom built linkage. they guy who owned it before me got it off another crx and in the middle it was welded together.

for now im going to re-weld it back together but i was wondering to make sure this doesnt happen again what shift linkage can i use in place of this?

i've heard a b16 linkage may work but i want to make sure its right.

thanks,
jake

I know Hasport makes linkage for the B18 swap, but I don't know about stock replacements.

http://www.hasport.com/Products/Linkage.htm

this is what I'm talking about.

that works if he has hasport mounts.

just have them reweld it by a welding shop, they are professionals and it wont break. and if it does break, you are shifting too hard

i have the hasport mounts already.

im going to put a soild bar that fits just inside the pipe and then bolt that in on each side, then weld it at the seam again just for now and then later on buy the hasport.

idk about any of you guys but i had problems with my hasport shift linkage. the shifter rod on the tranny side has 2 joints so pivoting. one pivots it up and down and the other left to right. the bushings on the left to right pivot wore out which left me with alot of play in my shifter.
