Honda North America has (I believe) instituted a program which takes some of the local burden away from the local dealers with regards to Radio Codes.
It works like this:
Call Honda North America at 1-800-999-1009 (US and Canadian Owners)
You should be directed to Customer Service
They will supply you with a FAX Number to which you send your documentation
1) Vehicle Registration W/Vin (Proof of Ownership)
2) Radio Reference Number
3) Radio Seriel Number
4) Your call-back Number
They will return your call and supply you with the 5digit code

Or you can do the "Radio & Registration in hand trek to the dealer" trick. It's wicked cold out, I'd rather do it by phone

You might be able to remove the ashtray and it's support plate; then use a mirror and flashlight to get the numbers from the sticker on the bottom of the radio.
Save yourself the time and effort of removing the console and trim plate.

my wife took her 98 accord to the dealer to have the cel checked out and they gave her a card that looks like a credit card with the radio code on it, she didn't even ask for it.
It is the Radio Chassis Numbers that they are interested in.
Unfortunately, Honda doesn't cross-reference Radio Security Codes with the Vehicle Identification number. You literally have to get the codes off a 4x2" Label affixed to the Radio; and in most cases it involves pulling the radio to get this info.
That's why people were asking you to check several locations (or in the car's paperwork) for a sticker with the radio codes. All because it's such a pain in the A..s to get.

Hello,
I have the same problem, I see that MooGoCow3 mentioned he had the ability to get one of these codes for me. If that's possible it would be sweet! here's the info:
P/N:39101-SR2-A000-M1
REF.NO.:CM6504A-D
Serial No.:E31016281
If not, no worries. Thanks!
