iPod hardwiring dock systems
I'm looking to hear from some fellow Integ owners who have had success hardwiring an ipod to their factory radio. I tried the company Dension USA, and found the unit they sold me to be incompatible with my factory radio.
Lets hear about some of the kits you have tried, and some feedback!

I am not entirely certain that what you are refering to is even possible. I have an Integra and have my iPod hardwired into my cd player but it isn'f factory. I have a Pioneer and have the PIE adapater and monster cable to connect it to my iPod. It works great except that is doesn't charge the iPod at the same time. If you buy the interface, which is available for Pioneer and Alpine cd player (I believe) it charges it as well.
I don't think this would work on a factory cd player because you have to have an AUX option on your cd player to play it throuhg, unless you were using it through your radio.

I wired a headphone jack into the input cable of the stock cd changer that I can toglle between with a DPDT switch, but i get crazy interference from the motor when it's revving. It works well with the device turned up really high and the radio turned down low, though.
THis is what I have from http://www.mp3yourcar.com/ . It runs through the CD changer port in the back of the factory HU, charges the Ipod, has the best sound quality you could possibly get with a car hook up (due to it using the data port the direct line in), and all the controls on the radio opperate the Ipod. Its expensive, but worth every penny.
I just have a MONSTER connector, digital display. Runs through any car ligther/cdplayer.. pick a station, no static and very clear. Also don't have to worry about it being quiet, its like cd quality. Picked it up for $100, can go in any car so no installation required.
USA Spec makes a unit as well that interfaces with Honda radios with the round cd changer connector like factory integra radios. Good reviews but a bit expensive. Check crutchfield.com for reviews.

I have an Alpine head unit, a fold down unit with XM, MP3, and iPod capabilities, I had to get the 99 dollar iPod adapter, but i can control everything from my head unit and it charges my iPod so i can drive with it home, then i picked a place and mounted it on my dash... well not really my dash, the front of my glove box, it looks nice, hangs there and thats about it, great sound with the MX decoder on the Alpine plus the data connection and not a headphone jack connection, really is nice on my Infinity 6 1/2 components all around and my Alpine sub in the trunk

I actually work the productions and corporate sales for this company. Too bad ive never actually played with the unit....haha. It cant be that difficult to hardwire it to an integra.
