Default 14.7 @ 97mph with my 06 Si

At Orlando Speed World friday night I ran a 14.7 @ 97mph with a 2.2 60ft(could be better). My only mods are a AEM CAI. Just thought everyone would like to know that the 06 Si can run a good time. Have the timeslip will scan it later for you all(@ work now).

Woah that is (what looks to be so far) a great time! With essentially the same engine and tranny as the RSX-S and a few more pounds to lug around I thought the Si would be more of a 14.9+ car. Do you think the LSD helped alot with getting the 2.2 60'? Good job.

very nice times....i ran similar numbers in October in my stock SRT-4.

So it is safe to say...it would be a driver's race between us. You being the better driver of course.

I do have pix of the install, I will post those also. The car now has 2500 miles on it so it's starting to break in. I was happy with it though.

97mph is a strong trap speed. My old hatch B16 all motor trapped 97 and ran a 13.9 on DR's.

Our weather has been okay, but OSW (that track) sucks *****. I would expect a slightly better time at a different track even.

Good run, sounds like a fun car. (FWIW, I ran a 14.4 and 14.8 there in a stock WRX back in '02).

congrats man! Can you post up a timeslip? Do you have the all season tires? What was your launch points?!? I am pretty sure you have one of the quickest FG2's that isn't from a company as of now! Good for you and fill us in on some of the details!!

............I think he was referring to the fact that SRT-4's are capable of 13's stock, not the SI. Completely off topic but he wasn't saying the SI will do 13's stock.

I certainly would not be "drag racing" a brand new car at that mileage. Like you said "it's starting to break in"..... You got a few miles to go before that, and if I'm not mistaking, VTEC is a no-no during break-in... Atleast for the better part of the break-in time.... And that intake most likely voided the warranty it had....

Decent time though I guess......

Damn good time, and 2500 is way broken in. Nothing wrong with dragging it now.

I wouldnt drag it this early. Dont know if Honda would warranty your clutch if they see any kinda of evidence of you dropping the clutch or high revving.

Nice times, but cant believe it til i see a timeslip

2500 miles might be a bit low to pull 1/4s. But the warranty is still in tact even with the CAI. Remember that the stealership must PROVE that the mod caused the specific failure to legally void a warranty (even though they will tell you that the warranty is voided if they do not want to do the work). And the warranty will only be voided on that specific part (ex. springs will void the struts, but not the tranny).

Great numbers for a stock FWD car there.
