Default EF shock install help

The nut/bolt connected to the rear shock/lca is stuck, the nut is off, but the bolt wont budge, tried wd-40 and a hammer still nothing, when I use a wrench to turn the bolt, the bushing insides the shock rotates with it too

Unfortunately that is quite common the first time that bolt comes off the car. There are several methods to get it off but the LCA bushing and the bolt will be destroyed (they already are though). I have used a grinder to cut the bolt apart on either side of the LCA and then pull the shock away and knock the old bushing with the center of the bolt rusted into the middle out. If you are not going to reuse the shock, you could also cut the legs off the fork on either side of the bottom of the shock, remove them and knock the bushing out.

At this point before you go any farther, I would go out and get the new bolts and bushings so you have them in hand once the car is apart. The parets are available at a dealership or aftermarket urethane bushings can be had cheaper. Use some anti-seize on the threades and the middle of the bolt where it goes through the bushing sleeve so they will come out nice and easy next time it comes apart. Had Honda used some anti-seize, you , I and thousands of others would not have had to go through this.

I have an 88, and from what it looks like the bushing is actually in the lower mount? ? ? because my ksports go inside the lca, rather than out outside (I have a circular lower mount in the ksports) and i dont see where a new bushing take place anywhere.

Well reguardless ive heated it up, wd40'd, hammered it to ****, and it wont come out, I just cant get it loose from the bushings wrath

Lower mount all the way to the left

Maybe spring for new OEM LCA's, and then just remove the entire shock + old LCA as one assembly. That is what I resorted to on one side.

Actually the ones that I cut out were in an '88 CRX and it is much more of a bitch to cut the bolt on either side of the shock eye but inside the hole of the LCA. Since the '88 arms are less common and your image showed the '89+ LCA, I was hoping that yours was the later car. The good news is that once you have cut the old bolt out and gotten the old shock out, you only have to buy a bolt and not a new bushing for the LCA since a new bushing will be in your shock. But making the bolt cuts up through the hole in the bottom of the LCA is a PITA.
