Default tranny

I read that a b16 has shorter gears than a type-r tranny. Does anyone know if that is true? Which is the better Tranny?!?!?!

What year b16 tranny? Try doing a search, you will find all the info you need.

the first gen b16 has a 4.7 final drive, the 96 -97 jdm r's have a 4.4 and the 98 has a 4.7, and the 00-01 usdm have a 4.4 final drive.

cable trannies suck they are too old and brake all the time, my friend broke 4 of them in 8 months, if i had a cable setup i would change it to hydraulic.
