5th Gen Accord- Headlamp Replacement.
ok, so some jackass ran into my car in a lot and busted my headlight and turn signal. I bought the replacement assembly, and already have the manual, but it does not explain how to remove the bumper. after tearing apart my front end and removing every nut/bolt/fastener which seemed to connect the bumper. but it seems like you have to remove the headlight before you remove the bumper, AND vise versa. I couldn't be more confused. I managed to find a way to fit it in, but could not get at the anchor bolt. if anyone has any advice on how to handle this, it'd be a great help. Thanks in advance.

if you take out the bumper lights, look throught he hole for the bumper light and you will see the screws to take off the bumper there is on each side of the bumper where it meets the fender. if you have not taken out the bumper light yet, you would need a long phil screwdriver to takeout the bumper light good luck
Agreed, The fasteners behind the parking lights are those which mount the bumper bar to the impact absorbers. Once those bolts are removed, I believe the whole assembly will come off in one piece; giving you unfettered access to installing your headlamps.
The fasteners in question are #32 in the earlier illustration

i've definitely taken the bolts behind the bumper lights, along with mostly every screw/bolt/fastener i could see or get at that looked like it'd ease effort. and I knocked the **** out it to get the bumper loose. no go.
if you've done this and that all you need to do, then i'll have another go at it.
