damn that's not bad at all! I have a history of 2 speeding tickets, anyone think I'd see anything over $2000 a year at MOST for a 600cc?

You will forsure. I have a perfect record, 3 years of driving history, my car on that policy also and I am with the same company as my parents.

With 2 speeding tickets you will be in the next range of risk, some companys might not even carry you.

bs

I am 20 and live in Blacksburg (basically country) and was quoted 3600 a year for full coverage on an r6. No tickets and been riding with the company for close to 8 months.

You must be lying and saying your dad is the primary "rider" or something

i'm in PA as well...

i'm 19 with a clean driving record, i've got a 97' FZR600 and pay $225 a year through Progressive with just liability. If i had got one ticket, the price woulda been $890 a year, lol. They're real strict with that ****

edit: state farm sucks for bike insurance at least in PA, the two best quotes i got were progressive and geico

Yeah, I dont understand it either. I'm 30 and I'm paying more than an 18YO for insurance?

I think I have mine through Dairlyland and it's $440 a year for liablity. In 2003 I had full coverage on the same bike and it was $135 a month.

Insurance rates also depend a little bit on your location. Last time I moved, I moved 50 miles away (into a bigger city) and my insurance rates went up

It's always cheaper if you have insurance with your parents, usually they have more collateral and they are older, which makes it cheaper.

Im sure its because my insuracnce company hates me your right and thats the reason they charge me more. Maybe next time I call them if I kiss there *** they will reduce my rates?

Since you were 15 1/2 eh, wow you've been with the company for a long time buddy.

Just trying to state how highly unlikely it is for a 17 year old who lives in Northern Virginia to be riding one of the fastest litre bikes at the rates you stated.

But then again my insurance company doesn't like me, so what do i know?

hey dont hate me cause my rates are less then yours.....

and what if i have been with that insurance company for a long time? is a crime to stick to one insurance that gives me good rates? is there a problem with my insurance for me getting that low? i how ever say my insurance is very good i have worked with them when i was hit by a car on my first motorcycle and they handled it very well so it must be a crime in your books for me to be with a insurance company for so long cause i like the way they handle things?

unlikely? maybe i do agree but i did ask them if they knew it was a 1000cc and they stated they did so dont get all angry at me if they give me a good rate

Sarcasm? Maybe they have'nt gone over this in High school english yet. A year and a half is NOT a long time.

Finally, lets stop bitching at eachother and how bout you tell everyone who is your insurance company so all us in Northern Virginians can get such a good deal.

I just purchased a bike today, and got my insurance through allstate, $28.33 a month. I am 18 with no violations, and have more then bare minimum coverage on the bike. The bike is a CBR F2
