1989 CRX Si Soundproofing removal/Gunk Buildup...
1989 Honda CRX Si
I've got about a 1/2" layer of crap buildup that looks like it's about to morph into some living organism back there. There's also that factory soundproofing. I was sitting there, chipping it off with a screwdriver, but I kept scratching the paint (I'm repainting anyways). However, does anyone know of an easier way to remove the factory soundproofing WITHOUT chipping the paint?
I tried goo gone..I soaked the entire mat. That didn't work too well. It just made it a LITTLE easier to scrape up.
Suggestions?
Richard

use dry ice and a pool of rubbing alcohol. it will freeze it and then you can hit it with a hammer and it will shatter.
