Whats The Closest Black Paint To Carbon Fiber?
I know this is the stupidest question Ive ever asked on HT, but my roommate really wants to know what it is. So anyone know the closest colour to carbon fiber? I told him Nighthawk Black Pearl from the ITR is pretty black, but then he said he was told that the Metalic Black from the BMW M5 is better. I honestly have no idea. He wants to paint his roof black to match his CF hood and his trunk.
The car is going over a huge overhaul this winter and he is getting it painted in the next week. So any suggestions or images with a black painted hood would be great. Here is what his car looks like at the moment.

I had a NBP DC5 and that color has a lot of blue in it. Probably not what you are looking for. I had a C/F hood on it, but I never got any pics of it that I can show you.

why doesnt he just buy a sheet of CF and have them glass it over the roof, that way hell have the cf roof hood and trunk. Ive seen it done on here a couple of times and it looks real nice. The bodyshop should be able to do it, itll be like laying fiberglass...but its cf, i think atleast, might be wrong.

not sure the company name (haspro maybe), but someone sells an adhesive that is actually made of carbon fiber. it comes in sheets, and you can just put it on your car (or whatever) just like a huge sticker....
i think i saw it a sema review in sport compact car...

i think id either get FBP from the Prelude/Integras or just get the blackest regular black you can find, possibly Super Black, off the Nissans, id just go to the paint store and have them Mix Code O or 1 i think from GM its just Black, plain and simple
you dont want the Nighthawk Black Pearl it has a Ton of Blue Pearl and some Violet Pearl in it as well

I would say a black with a silver pearl, because that's basically how CF looks. NBP and FBP have blues and reds in them. I'd think a body shop could mix something up.
