This is my first motor pull that i have done. I have always admired people who work on their own car as i was growing up. Whether it was motor work or paint and body. Plus i have a new quote that "you learn more being poor than being rich" so this is the outcome of me not being able to pay someone else to pull my mota out!
i have a few tip on what helped me with the swap so id figure that i would share it with everyone. And if you are nervious about doing this for the first time DON'T BE its fairly easy and for my first time it only took me 6 hours (a little long) but im happy.
My future plans are a mild wire tuck and fully shaved engine bay. Im planning on taking out my abs and either taking out my powersteering or trying to relocate it inside the fenderwell (a H-T first that i know of) and also take out my cruise control! I will also post up pics of the motor work, engine bay shave, wire tuck and body work within the next 3-6 months.... its a long process but im ready to get "slow-white" back on the road. THANKS
here are the motor specs as it sits
pr3 head
3 angle valve job
JG port and polish
rocket motorsports valve train
skunk 2 stage 2 cams
skunk 2 intake manny
rc 310 injectors
hondata s200
gsr block w/ 12:5:1 ctr pistons
im hoping to put down between 200-215 to the wheels w/ a nice dyno tune
ENJOY
this is a great way to keep everything organized... especially if your not puting the motor right back in

here is a tip on how to get out the shiftlinkage pin

and i found out if you put a jack underneith your rotor then the lower linkage pops off so no use for a boot fork

and this is my favorite tip. i used a maglight along with my wrench to get more leverage on the bolts, has great grip and works excellent and still worked afterwards

Nice post Jeff.
That is one cluttered bay. Can't wait to see the final result. Who's garage are you working out of? What are you using to drive? I can't wait to start on my EG.

I usually take the header off and the TPS sensor on the back of the motor out.
The TPS sensor never fails to break off and if it does, you cannot buy another one from Honda because it is attached to the TB.
I also take the header off because it gives you that much more room to work with.
