Default Spark question on '89 Integra (should be easy)

Got an '89 Integra motor (ZC) in an '89 CRX that I'm troubleshooting a no-start with. The car has no spark, and I'm guessing it's either the coil or the igniter, but I want to doublecheck to see if there are any other pieces in the puzzle that are common to a no spark situation.

The reason I'm asking is, I can get the coil for about 100 bucks, the igniter for a little over 100 bucks, or I can say screw it and buy a brand new distributor for 150 bucks, and not worry about buying the wrong part. I've tested the coil, but I'm not sure my results are correct, so the owner of the car wants to just spend the extra 50 bucks and buy the new distributor, and be done with it. Plus it will replace all the other parts in there that are prone to failure at the same time.

Are there any other sensors, resistors, whatever that would cause a no spark condition on the 89 teg motor besides what's in the distributor? The fat black/yellow wire that goes into the distributor has voltage when the key is on, so I'm hoping that whatever is causing there to be no spark is in the distributor, but I want to make sure before I go and order one.

Any insight?
