They don't look horrible like mines, but whats the price on it? If its about $200, its a steal for that condition. Could use some polish though, I used http://images.amazon.com/image...Z.gif 1 and 2 and it looks much better.
I cleaned mine up yesterday. I'll post some pics and how I did them when I come home later from school. Huge difference from when I first received them.

It is a special kind of sandpaper marked "WATERPROOF".
The idea is to sand the treated surface being wet, in other words moinstured with fresh water. It lets to make the treatment finer.
For this kind of job sandpaper graded 2000 should be used.

I placed my headlight in a sink and ran water on it while I used a sander with 1500 grit then 2000 grit. I didn't understand the concept of wet sanding either til I did exactly how it sounded.

From what I understand the JDM housings have very strong scratch coating, it is not just plastic but the plastic is covered by anti scratch surface. That's why my JDMs look like they starting to peel from the top. Are you sure wet sending made it SUPA clear? I would like to see the pics, so I can go head and do that then.

JDM's are made efectively not of plastic type "regular plastic" but of a polycarbone component that is much harder and shock resistant than "regular plastic".
Then they are covered with protective clear paint coat that, after some years, goes out, making the headlapm look like you can see in the beginning of the thread

when you go to wet sand them, use a bucket or the sink, tub, etc. put a little car wash soap in the water. It will act like a lubricant, helps reduce the number of light scratches and swirls that might show up. In a 2 gallon bucket, i usually us 1 or 2 cap fulls. Should come out pretty nice when you get it done though
