Accord Bulb problem
I have a 00 accord i had this car for about year now.So i replaced the head light bulbs to some Silver Stars. i Had them for about a month and the drivers side blew so i replaced it w/ stock and kept psss side in a week past and the other side blew. So then i got some other clear blue bulbs put them in they blew a month later to.
IM not a noob at installing bulbs. AND DID not tocuh the bulbs w/ fingers
What can be causing this to happen ?
And now im with stock pee yellow color bulbs that dont seem to blow at all

There have been some discussion in here with regards to Silverstars' having a short(er) than normal (due to burning hotter) life.
This I can't confirm because, well, all three cars listed in my sig run Silverstars, and the two 5th Gens continue to burn original Silverstars after three years.
Vibration can effect bulb life, as can water intrusion (something that isn't normally an issue with Honda's. You've already covered the issue of handling Halogen Bulbs; so that leaves just one question...
This isn't a 6th Gen V6 with a Denso Alternator is it?
They've had some over charging issues which involved blown bulbs, a toasted ECM and other exotic WTF? failures.
Other than that, it could be just poor dumb luck.

Just pointing out that he already answered that question. Am I the only one that reads?

i think one reason u may be blowing them is because you're changing one at a time.. usually when u change only one bulb, the other one will blow... you're usually supposed to replace bulbs in pairs. although why the silverstars blew in the first place is beyond me

I don't see how only changing one bulb can possibly cause the other to burn out. Not to mention, I have never had that problem... Manufacturers recommend changing both of the bulbs at the same time to supposedly insure that both bulb have the same brightness. Personally, I believe they just want you to buy another bulb so that they make more money.
If it was necessary to replace both bulbs at the same time, then why do some manufacturers sell headlight bulbs in single packs?
