Ok for the past week or so my battery has kept dying, id have to jump my car to get to work, ill drive for about 15 min, and when it comes time to go home my batt is dead! ! ! So I have a co-worker jump it, and today I was putting my ksports in and had to jump it 3 times, so I take it for a test drive to see how my susp is, and after about 15 min of driving, I go home and turn my car off, 2 min later I go to start it, the battery is dead, the dash lights started out bright, and after I tried turning it over, the lights got dim as hell

Should I be automatically ruling it out as the alternator ? ?

 

sounds like you need a new batt. its not holding charge..... does it have a warentty?

 

Take the battery out and have it tested. If it tests ok, you know the problem is the alt

 

does it turn off on you while the engine is running?

No, Ill connect the wires for a jump, and it goes really fast, but literally the second my car is off, the battery dies. It will drive and everything will be fine up until the moment I turn my car off.

 

Start the motor, pull the negative wire off the battery, car dies = replace alt. car runs = replace battery.
