yea like stated planes are a bit faster.......... the one that took me from detroit to hawaii was cruising at like 550mph on the way and like over 700mph on the way back (against the rotation of the earth so ground speed is faster)

When it takes twice as long as a flight?

I met the creator of the mag train. MY gf's dad works for Fonar imaging (MRI company famous for their stand up MRI machine) and introduced me a while back. There's a company I can't remember the name of that has figured out a way to manufacture the train and rails nearly 75% cheaper than their Japanese and German counterparts.
May be some stock info in the future

The actual concept of that train is very very simple.
All it is is a series of magnets that "ramp" (power) up in sequence to pull the train along. The train and rail are on opposite poles and as these magnets ramp up the force of them pulls the train to the next magnet as the original magnet ramps down.

I guess that might be true, I have never seen NYC. Here in Atl is a total POS with our trains not going anywhere you want. There are 4 major counties in metro Atlanta and only one of them has trains.

Even though this pic is cutting off the lower half of Manhattan and Brooklyn you get the idea. It's retarded owning a caR in NYC.
