got jacked on jg blockgaurded block by Jason Harwood...aka lseghatch
purchased a block off him over a yr ago and just recently been told by a machine shop that it was indeed not sleeved but only blockgaurded-honed and bored. reason for the block barely being seen by machine shop was due to lack of fund on my project and just had more money in different places...

(4:07 PM 2/18/2006) spoon23_JDizM AkA SpOoN20: hey there bro I'm the dude who purchased the jg supposedly sleeved block off of you back in the day and well the project was postponed for a minute due to funds, and I took it to be looked at for piston and rod install and the machine guy said those were stock sleeves not jg aftermarkets which i paid u for... he said its pretty much a bored and honed ls block with blockgaurd... I gave u 800 shipped for this... but for a sleeved block, what can we do to take care of this?
(7:40 PM 2/18/2006) LSEGHATCH: dude i paid more than you when i purchased the block, this is news to me because if you look at the "sleeves" they have the copper ring around in the middle HONDA'S DON'T HAVE THAT
(7:41 PM 2/18/2006) LSEGHATCH: If I got ripped off for 950 (i think that's what I paid), then that would mean I have to find the guy I bought it from way back in the day
(7:41 PM 2/18/2006) LSEGHATCH: I personally don't remember who I obught that from since it was about a year ago
(8:27 PM 2/18/2006) spoon23_JDizM AkA SpOoN20: my buddy that looked at the block is best friends with the guys over at jg so I seriously think he knows what he is looking at as far as their work... he said it looks like jgs work but that its not sleeved?
(8:30 PM 2/18/2006) LSEGHATCH: oh, well if this is all true then i too was scammed for more than you were. You see what I mean?
(8:31 PM 2/18/2006) LSEGHATCH: if it weren't more than a year ago maybe we both could've got our money but it's been so long.
(8:31 PM 2/18/2006) LSEGHATCH: I AM NOT A SCAMMER
(10:46 PM 2/18/2006) spoon23_JDizM AkA SpOoN20: not calling u a scammer but I mean even tho someone sold u the block not telling u it was sleeved and by u selling it to me as it being sleeved? am I to lose out in this situation aswell? I mean if I sold something that wasn't sleeved regardless where i got it and sold it as being sleeved, it would fall in my hands not the original sellers unless u can get ahold of him at the moment because I'm sitting with a block that is seriously worth no more than 500 .... ????
(1:31 AM 2/19/2006) LSEGHATCH: I am sorry there is nothing I can do at this point and there are h-t members that agree. I lost money as did you. I wish I could get mine back as do you..............like i said a YEAR later is too late to do anything.
If you were to buy something off ebay stated as lets say advan wheels and they were knock off's but you find this out a year later.......would you contact the seller asking for your money back or shrug it off as a learning experience?
I for one would shrug it off and am shrugging it off with this block. Should I do more research when I receive/purchase an item? YES. Should you have researched as well? YES
It doesn't take a year to figure out that a block is not as purchase. I for one wish I would've checked sooner with a knowlegeable resource but at the time I didn't think I was getting scammed.
(11:06 AM 2/19/2006) spoon23_JDizM AkA SpOoN20: thats BS...Im gonna post this on honda-tech and see what everybody else thinks about it...what you do not understand is the fact that A... you sold me a block stating it was sleeved...B...I took it to my mech. who stated from his naked eye that it was indeed not sleeved...C...I remember hitting you up like 5months ago stating that it wasnt sleeved, and you responded by stating that it was...(so don't say this **** about being 1 yr ago and you can't do **** about it)...D...recently took it to a machine shop who aswell check it and stated it was indeed not sleeved but honed-bored-and block guarded...
(11:08 AM 2/19/2006) LSEGHATCH: this is the first time you've contacted me since the transaction
(11:09 AM 2/19/2006) LSEGHATCH: 5 months ago would have been October and you did not contact me then.

For all I know you could have ponded it off to me as a non sleeved block knowing damn well it was and selling it to me for full price... I mean you should be giving me the benifit of the doubt that i'm siting here believing that u didn't indeed know it was sleeved
Appareantly you think I am the bad guy here. I had no idea it wasn't turely sleeved and I GOT SCAMMED ALSO AND FOR MORE MONEY.
Here is the original f/s thread for the block.

u waited wayyyy to long. If u said your buddy is good friend's with the guys at jg then why didnt u tell him to tell those guys to look at it when u first got it??? I mean i feel for u but u waited too long to find out it wasnt sleeved. You expect the guy to refund your money back after about a year? Come on now what would u do if some guy msg u up about a part he bought from u over a year ago saying he wants his money back u wouldnt refund it to him right? Be real about this. Bottom point is the guy sold u a block saying it was sleeved because the prevous owner said so and then he sold it to u so it was your part to find out if it was sleeved or not when u first got it instead of waiting over a year.
my good friend knows jg...but he lives almost 2 hours away. I'm sorry I never rushed it right to him when recieved..hahaha .... I thought I had a legit bottom but I do not... and secondly i'm not asking for full refund just a difference due to the lacking of it being sleeved... read before you write anything
hey *** clown Looks like your from the same state maybe hood as your boy... I dont have all my boys on my **** talking mess cus if I did i'd have like 10 pages already so stfu... Like I said I'm not looking for total refund just lack of funds pal...

a year later or not, you BOTH were sold something you weren't supposed to have been sold. tyler, had you not sold the block to spoon20 and just found out that the block you purchased a year ago wasn't sleeved, you mean to tell me you'd do nothing about it and chalk it up as a "learning experience?" BULLSHIT.
but if it really is 85.5mm, chances are it could very well be sleeved.
