best suspension upgrade for my teg
hello all, I am sumwhat new to all this and would like to here your opinions on suspension upgrades.
I basically want to be able to have a good ride with some improvement in cornering.
what I have in mind is an eibach pro-kit, & koni (yellows), and prolly a energy suspension master poly bushing kit. what do you all think of these mods.?

You've got good senses! Very good setup. I might advise going with Sportlines however, a lot of people always wish they went lower the first time.
Word of advice: As much as you're probably tempted to do those mods one at a time, I'd really recommend only installing the springs once you can afford shocks at the same time. Why? Saves you on labour (if you do it yourself too!!) and you'll get a lot more out of it. I wished people stressed this more. Too many people drive around on lowering springs and stock shocks that are leaking through the ying yang.

I wouldn't recommed the bushings. It is a very labor intensive ordeal, which unless you are more mechanically inclined than most, will cost you $. I've also heard that the polyurethane bushings tend to get sloppy over time. This is because that although they do flex less than the stock bushings, when they do flex, they have problems returning to their normal shape. I have no firsthand experience with this however, just have heard a couple of testimonials.

As already mentioned, the ITR sway bar with one of the reinforcement kits is the way to go. Last May, I did that mod along with installing Koni yellows and Comptech sports springs at the same time, and I'm still smiling...
If you can afford to do it all at the same time, it's well worth the $$, time and effort. The Konis are a terrific shock, but they'll set you back around $500 for all four. Any "sport" spring will drop you ~1.5" and won't be too stiff that you'll regret it later. If you've only got the $$ for one mod, then do the sway bar; you won't regret it.

He created/sells a mounting kit so that you can mount the superior ITR (type-R) sway bar on lesser 'tegs w/o have the increased strain tear out the rear sub-frame.

would everybody agree that poly bushings may be more of a pain than there worth.
any other suggestions besides doing the shocks and springs and sway bar.. I got money to burn here (tax refund)...

If you want a "good ride", I'd advise against the polyurethane bushings. It does a GREAT job of stiffening up everything, but at the expense of squeeks (they require regreasing) and noticeable harshness over stock. It's up to you though.
The setup you described sounded perfect. You won't regret it. But you should use the money you intended to use for the ES bushings and go for the ITR swaybar without a doubt...or if you have money like that, get the Comptech swaybar/tiebar combo.

F*** the ITR sway bar. No offense but just because it says R on it doesn't mean its the best. You want the best, COMPTECH sway and tie bar combo. Yeah its expensive but you can adjust it and ur car will have no body roll what-so-ever. Thats just my thaught.
"best" is a relative term for sway bars. Obviously, if the comptech unit is adjustable than that's a good feature, but you want to get the bar that will make your car handle the way you want it too. The Mugen 26mm bar might make your car rotate more than you want it too, and the stock (14.7mm I think) bar is way too small. The ITR (22mm, 23mm JDM) is probably a good compromise (and the best priced). It's not adjustable but unless you plan on getting into some form of motorsport you may not need an adjustable bar.
If you need help installing the ITR rear swaybar with a mounting kit, e-mail me and I can help you do it.
Or, if you're still iffy on whether or not to get it, I'll take you for a ride.

You might consider the Neuspeed Sports over the Pro-Kits or Sportlines. They have a softer front spring rate but stiffer rear relative to the Sportlines, which makes the car handle more neutrally. However, if you are going to do the ITR swaybar, you'd have plenty of rear stiffness, so in that case I would stick to the Eibachs.

And no, people don't buy it just because it's "Type R." It's proven to provide neutral handling on our forward plowing, understeering like pigs, regular Integras.
That's a first...someone who won't get something because it's from an ITR.
sounds like i should get an Itr sway bar. Wheres a good place to pick one up at a decent price? i'm a little surprised that no one likes coil overs, i like mine lots, i'm sure that a full spring is better performance wise but mine handle and ride really nice. The main reason i like them though is cause i can set my car exactly how i like it, and as i change wheels i can adjust it for the best look. Oh what are BSQ's? sorry but i'm not familiar with them
thanks

Just kidding around with ya!!!
I'm BSQ and I make and sell a mounting/reinforcement kit (often referred to as BSQ kit or BSQ mounting kit) for the installation of the Type-R rear swaybar on a non-Type-R Integra. You may want to check on my Type-R rear swaybar installation instructions at http://www.geocities.com/bretq/swaybar_install.html if you are interested in installing the Type-R rear swaybar. You can also check out my mounting/reinforcement kit at http://www.geocities.com/bretq/mounting_kit.html .
