Default Swapping H22A

I was wondering, I want to swap my car to a manual, Would a F20B be a good motor?
I will keep it NA, so I just want an overall daily drive
thanks

id say just get a JDM h22a. there readily available. there only 2500 with lsd. and there the same as the 94 usdm h22a so parts are easily available. and i think thats ur best bang for ur buck anyway. no need for a rare/expensive motor like the f20.

true, but i can get teh f20 b for only a few hundred more.
with the lsd.
The car is a 97, so I would like a obd2 motor, even though it doesn't matter because I can convert my auto ecu to 5 spd

Go F20. Its rare to see it done in the states and its just a cool motor. Less torque than an H22 tho. Keep that in mind

Ya F20b prices are dropping b/c theyr hard to sell .. Last time i checked it was only slitely more for the F20b (stock with LSD) as opposed to H22 + LSD.

Yea I like to see things that aren't done as often (f20b). Everyone and their brother has an h22 powered prelude. Go for something more original.

You will get more torque out of an h23 vtec but I would not say that it is worth it power wise. As far as origanallity goes, it just maybe worth the extra cheese. You dont see too many of them thats for sure.

well you dont see many oem h23 vtec motors.....h23vtecs are no rarity though....

i say go with the h22.....the only difference is really the bore size, the stroke is the same between the two, and the h22 head flows a bit more if i remember correctly....

to be honest, i would rather build a motor from a bare block at this point than buy one from a supplier....

if i could sell my h22 i would consider doing that.....
