Greddy 4-2-1 header installation
I am looking to purchase a Greddy 4-2-1 header, and since I'm somewhat of a n00b at this I'm just asking if it is a simple bolt on to the rest of the factory piping (catalytic converter)...no custom flanges and what not required?
thanks
thanks
yes, it should be a bolt on affair. i had a greddy header a long time ago and i remember it didn't have a 02 sensor bung. here's a article from team-integra. it's for an B18B, but should be very similar.

the header is for a '95 GSR</TD></TR></TABLE>
the 02 bung is where the o2 sensor goes. basically it's a threaded "collar" that the sensor threads in the exhaust manifold. if it's not on the exhaust manifold, you would have to take it to a shop for them to weld it in.

thanks...so as for my end of the deal I don't have to purchase any separate parts correct? the shop can take care of all the welding and installation?
also, are there any good stainless headers out there for less than $400 where the O2 bung is already in it?
I've also read on other forums that the O2 bung in the header is only a california spec car?

i THINK you might have to purchase the manifold to block gasket. you will probaly have to reuse the gasket that connects to the cat. it's been a while since i remember having the greddy headers. i bought them about 3-4 years ago when it first came out.

not really sure on any other "good" headers for under 400. about the 02 bung, i'm not sure. i've only had 2 different headers in all of the cars i 've owned.
i don't think the 02 bung in the header is for only a cali spec car. i guess it depends on the header manufacturer.
