Default UPDATED TRACK TIMES: 14.4 @ 96.8mph !

UPDATED CAR PICS INSIDE NUMBERS!
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1630616

DYno Numbers
174hp / 130lb/tq SAE CORRECTED
With:
Rage Header
2.5'' Piping
68mm Throttle Body
Type R Tranny
Dont' have dyno sheets since i wasn't so happy with the results and forgot them...

TRACK TIMES!
14.2 @ 98.50mph w/ 300 Treadwear Wheels!

I really dont know if the header is not doing his work or if its just the tranny, since dynoing on 4th gear make 2-3hp more always! My new tranny is a 4.80 Tyep R Tranny w/ ACT 12lbs Flywheel maybe does that have to do with something? I really dont know the car is extremely tuned we went this week 2 times. And stille get same numbers i think the header helped on midrange power but the graphs are on diferent gear ratios.

Hi all Honda-Tech user here is my first posts, i always get information here but never posted (lazyness). Along with my brother (the mechanic & tuner) we're doing a Integra GS 96' Non-Vtec project i have many dyno runs but havent got them on my pendrive (i always forgot !).
Here is my setup:
Acura Integra GS 96' (USDM)
172.52hp / 129.69tq
(SAE Corrected)
MY MOD LIST:
ENGINE:
B18B Stock Bore
Light Ported & Polished B18 Head
Civic SI B16 (USDM P30) Pistons (Nippon Brand)

CAMS:
Crower 404 Cam Shafts
Crower Spring & Retainer kit
JG Engine Dynamics Cam Gears

FUEL:
Arospeed Fuel Pressure Regulator

INTAKE:
Blox Intake Manifold
Hondata IM Gasket
3'' Type R Cold Air Intake (No Brand)

EXHAUST:
Header T-Pros 4-2-1 / Ported by me.
Custom Muffler Shop 2.25'' Catback & OEM Muffler
McCord MPP2 Electronic Cutout

MISC:
Arospeed Ground Kit

ECU:
P06 Chipped ECU
CROME Rom Editor
Tuned by. Neoh2ning
******
All numbers are with 17'' wheels which tend to get dyno reading lower... (3-7hp lower).
This was made on a DynoJet (Turabo Dyno) here in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

Here is my graph finally!!!

ENJOY!
-Alex
PS. I'm Reving the Car up to 8,200RPM and still Non-Vtec!!!

of course the 404's carry power up that high. the question is how long the less stable LS bottom end will put up with it. i've seen them go a long time, but i've also seen them break up pretty quickly, too. i'm dying to rev my B20 w/ 404's up there.

Nice setup! It is very similiar to mine.

I know it seems funny but the 404's hold power. My setup holds power to 8K, eventhough I peak at 7K.

Dont worry too much about the bottom end. Get yourself some ARP 8mm rod bolts and it will hold to 8K all day.

405's have way too much overlap. I wouldn't think of running N2O on them. You will waste too much of it.

Nice, thanks for posting! Did you have any trouble tuning the idle? What code base did you use in crome?

The iddle was very fu** up at first the car wont even turn on the AC but now my tuner (Neoh2ning) corrected that. YOu will still need to raise your iddle to 1,300rpm or more for nice daily driving without a shaking car on stops lights!

BTW, when you post a dyno sheet it really should include correction factor and ambient conditions.

and about the nitrous w/ 405's . . . i don't forsee a problem with big cams + boost or nitrous. you just have to understand that the powerband will be extremely high up there. i don't think an LS with anywhere near a stock head casting will be worth owning with cams that large. and hopefully a fairly high compression ratio is in mind, perhaps 10.5:1 with some nitrous. but i've seen super huge cams on boosted apps and they run well as long as they're tuned, and of course they have no power down low and get shatty gas mileage. but you don't get cams like that OR nitrous to get good gas mileage . IMO most people just don't recommend big cams + boost or nitrous simply because they use boost/nitrous to make the powerband thicker, not to still have a short powerband high up there.

It looks like a screen shot from the dynojet runviewer, and you can see a "SAE" in the corner.

Nice powerband eLBeBeBoRiCuA. That torque curve looks like piratemcfred's nonvtec engine. What compression ratio do you think you're at? Any pictures of the build? Thanks for posting your results.

great, SAE . . . but i mean those numbers look pretty darn good, so either the tuner is very good, or the dyno is using a CF maybe like 1.03 or something and hiking it up by 5hp, in which case the tuner is just so-so. if that's at 1.00 CF, then those are pretty good numbers for his mods. either way i wouldn't mind taking a ride in it .

Just to let people see the graph and play with it a little i will post the DYNO JET run file along with the RunViewer7 (just incase someone dont have it).

CLICK HERE TO GET THE DYNO RUN

CLICK HERE TO GET THE Run Viewer 7

To open just open the Run Viewer first, click on open and look for the "NEOHNONVTEC172.152" file.
You can change a lot on options like correction methods, seee different points in the graphs, etc etc...
Have fun!

I havent tested my compresion on real life i just used c-speedracing.com compresion calculator (http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/c...c/compcalc.php). I should be near 11.0 - 11.5 i think!?

wow i just noticed your sig . . . i'm guessing that's either 14.7s with all that stuff minus the cams or it's 14.7s stock + slicks . . . either way it sounds like you'd better have a good clutch in there! sounds fast. i hope my freshly-built B20 non-vtec motor w/ 404's will be good for 14.2. 14 flat would be nice, but i'm not counting on it. gotta break in the new Exedy, though .

i have done 14.7 with and without cams.
HOw and why!?
okay , when i had 150hp (no cams) i went with no front / back seats, spare tire, etc. And i did 14.7 @ 94mph and with 14'' wheels.
Last time i went just to check the mph w/ the cams so i dint take out interior again, that time i did 14.7 @ 95.5mph with full interiors and 15'' wheels. So i take interiors again and put on the 14'' wheels i will shoot for a 14.4 - 14.5max.
I'm also waiting for a tranny with lsd because im doing 2.3 on the 0-60 which i can lower to 2.0-2.1 with nitto drags and lsd and make a better time like 14.1 - 14.2 considering also that is a short geared tranny. Also i'm installling a electric water pump to recover at least 5hp in all the power band. And From them on will be my work to make it on the 13's. NO SLICKS just drag radials!

i've got an LS hydro trans with 4.40 final drive and a LSD in it . . . and the 2.0L bottom on stock cams. should be interesting to see what i can eek out of her once i get it fully tuned and finish breaking the clutch and motor in. if i hit 14 flat i'll scream for joy.

very interesting that your trap speed only increased a couple mph after the cams. those are some great supporting mods, so i guess those are a lot more important for making power than the cams. obviously they gained you ~35whp where the cams only gained 20whp from there. very interesting . . .
