Replace the brakes on my car and use the rest to pay off debts. If the first thing you guys think of is your car when you have any money to spend you obviously don't support yourself...

i say get the itr, but that will cost more than 3500 in the end... ls vtec or ls turbo might not be as reliable as u want.. gsr or itr would work fine, and the h22 will get burt by the itr anyday

K swap will be noticiably more than 3500, though it'd be nice if you could.

The insurance on the wrx only really depends on what your record is, how long you've been insured, and how new the car is. Though it really depends more on how much coverage you want.

h22 swap might not be under 3500 either, depending on variables.

I support myself, and have no debts...

OT: Looks for a b18c5 and keep it stock.

My B18C swap cost me over 4500. I could have saved probably 400 if I had gone directly to steve at hmotors. Just expect to pay more than you think.

That having been said go with a GSR swap or maybe turbo your current motor. KSeries swap is a distant possibility, but I wouldn't bet on it.

put that $3.5K to the new SI coupe

But seriously just save it man, I spend over 10grand on mt RX7 and it not worth it.
Car is car, if that is what you gonna do with your money then go ahead and spend on it but it there is something better in life then I suggest you save it.
