Default ac mounts?

if i use the ac adapter from hasport do i use the gsr compressor? or do i use the stock crx one. if i have to use the gsr one, good cause thats what i want cause its nice and new. but if i have to use the crx one, why is this so ? is it a location issue or an ac line set issue? and is there a way to modify so that i can use the gsr one? if so do i need the mount kit at all?

the hasport ac braket is for use with a b series block and a stock crx ac compressor. dont know how to use a gsr compressor in a crx. wouldn't be easier to leave your compressor attached to the line rather than having to deal with the freon???

just checked the hasport site:

"Custom AC Bracket for the B-Series (except B18C) swaps in the 88-91 Civic/CRX. CNC milled for precision fit, bolts in your stock Civic/CRX AC compressor."
http://hasport.com/catalog/pro...id=84

pointing out the (except B18C) portion, so you may not be able to use that part anyway. I seem to remember that someone on this site wrote a topic about this. something about parts of the adapter hits the block in a couple places. but about using the gsr compressor and bracket I dont have any hands on knowledge about the gsr in particar in the crx. but if hasport and other mount companys make a braket for this application you can be sure they have a good reason it doesnt work. i know that one of the hasport guys is on this site so you might want to try and find him for more info.

ah ......grasshopper....... i didnt even think that the crx could be r 12 ? is it really, ill have to look. but they would be diff if it is r 12. its a good thing too cause i have a 50 lb bottle of r 12 and its worth a ton , like 600 or more i would imagine by now so i could charge myself.
