Default LS info

sorry for being such a noob but i just want to know a couple things. i got an 88 civic and i was leaning toward doing an LS swap. what do you think of this.
-LS
-B16 pistons
-AEM cam gears
-AEM short ram
-DC header
-Skunk 2 manifold
-Exedy lightend flywheel
-exedy stage 2 clutch

what times you think i could run? low 14's? i want to be able to keep up with a GSR swapped EG coupe. is this possible? what do you think my power output will be?

No way you'll be seeing low 14s out of that setup. Even with a b16 tranny I'd doubt it.

great light budget start but you'll need more to hang with a GSR swaped 5th gen. It'll have more power and better gearing.

some mild cams will help or a vtec head but first getting a b16 tranny will really let you move better.

i was wondering a couple things:

1) what compression ratio can i run with stock rings, i am using B16 pistons so i need to them to hold 11:1 CR to be on the safe side. can i use the original rings for this or do i need upgraded ones?

2) do i need to use ARP head studs for that 11:1 CR?

3) i plan on revving the motor pretty high so would you recommend a GSR oil pump and ARP main bolts (already using rod bolts)?

4) how about bearings(crank and rod)? can i use GSR bearings or do i need a company like ACL?

thank you for the information.

its pointless to plan on revving high because you wont be making power up there with stock cams if your going to be using the p30 pistions with that compression i recommend the crower 404 camshafts , and you can get a better header than the dc for just a little more money if any . , even with the cams and the rest of the stuff you listed you will probably only make power to 7500 maybe 7800 . But the arp rod bolts wouldnt be a bad idead just to be on the safe side ,

You should look up some of hybrid_vtec posts he has a nice ls setup .
i dont think mid to low 14's would be out of the question with a mild pnp , the parts i mentioned and yours
