Default Mugen oil filter?

Does anybody have any experience with these Mugen oil filters distributed by King Motorsports? They are gold in color and quite pricey at $30...

I have personally never had a problem with Fram oil filters--but I always hear to stay far away from them. I like Purolator. Pure-oil-later

Purolator Pure One filters are way better than frams...

My buddy had one on his boosted B16, I didn't see any difference compared to a regular old Fram or HAMP.

Lets see...change your oil every 5K for 100K miles equals 20, times the $30 filter plus oil at $20 equals $1000 bucks. You could just save your money using cheap oil and filter and with the saved money buy a new engine at 100K miles.

But the thing is, you won't need a new engine cause cheap Castrol GTX and Pure One filters will protect your engine just fine. Is anyone following me here? 289K miles on my B18A with Castrol GTX and Pure One's, and the head looks clean and golden, no sludge ever.
