v-tec and non v-tec turbo setups will have slightly different applications. There is an abundance of knowledge on these topics.

dont wast your time, for the money you would probably spend, you could just go buy yourself a b16, and it will dominate what ever you plan on putting in the sohc piece.

Actually, I got the B16 in hopes of the same thing, however I sometimes wonder whether or not it was worth it. Granted you can get the little goodies like and LSD tranny and such, but I only wanted around 250hp. Now as I realize what it will take to turbo a B16a I often wonder whether or not I made the right decision. The D series engines are good to go and will easily put out 250 with a turbo and some tuning, but past that I do not know. Since I have owned the motor though I have grown a taste for more power and I am greatful becasue the B series motor is a much better platform for power. So, just ask yourself how much power you will be satisfied with and go from there. I would say if you want anything more than 230, go for a B16 or even an LSV-tec ("IF DONE RIGHT").
