Default d16z6 idle

my d16z6 idle to to about 1.5 rpm, but when the heater is at full blast it stop, if it is turn off it idol, the weird parts is that it don't always idle when the heater is off, only once in awhile just wondering if anyone can help,

idol is somebody you look up to, in this case the word you're looking for is idle

In the meanwhile, it sounds possibly like an alternator problem, when you turn your headlights on (at night presumably), does the headlights and/or interior lights fluxuate (get brighter and dimmer, repetitively)?
