NOT to flame anybody, but in these days everybody is running around with black rims. Most of them are fake JDM Style. A lot of people will say that is for weight reduction & performance.

Personally I don't like them, but whatever float your boat.

Seriously I agree with you on the black fad. It's nothing more than a fad and is a product of "JDM". I'm thinking in 1 or 2 years there are gonna be a lot of EK owners not knowing what to do with their black rims let alone all those poor krylon'ed stock GSR/SiR's

 

I think there's numerous types of people who have black wheels:

1) people who have spoons/slipstreams/wheels that come in a black color
2) people who have painted their wheels black because they like being low key
3) people who have painted their wheels black because it makes their car more "JDM"
4) people who curbed/damaged their wheels and paint them black to hide the damage
5) people who race their car on the track but are too lazy to clean the brake dust off
6) people who don't know how to properly apply black tire treatment to their tires

 

So that means if I have silver or bronze Volks that makes me a riceboy? Oh damn I better get some black spray paint! LOL....I agree, you guys need to chill the **** out....it's just a post.

Well damn, I guess I'm going out on a limb when I say this, but I have an opinion on the newbie know-it-alls on the board, and my opinion is that they suck! They are really starting to **** me off. I don't mind the newbies who ask an honest question about something that is actually of significance, but just going around flaming someone because they don't have the same opinion as you. Grow up.

As for Archidictus, you better learn pretty fast that you shouldn't post crap like that. If you don't agree with the thread then just say so <nicely> and leave it at that. You don't have to start flinging around the damn "rice" term. I think it's been used to much and has basicly lost all meaning.

for the people who have black rims who are not driving a race car, don't feel surprised if you get a somewhere along the line. On the other hand on some cars it looks good, very good, but its not every car.

The whole black fad on hondas came from spoon & desmond rims coming in flat black, but guess what, spoon makes racing wheels for real TRACK use. NOT wheels for you to impress the guys with for daily driving and street racing. I agree with the 's that go out to all the people who drive around with SW88's and such for daily driving.

I agree, everybody wants slips or anything black now. Its stupid. Pretty soon everybody is gonna be rollin on black rotas...how original. But its cool I guess if people like them, then so be it. I have been known to like dark gunmetal rims... peace.

 

I want Chrome Racing Hart CP-035 16x7.5's.... Chrome is always in style! Just dont go nuts with it...

hehehe i dont know whats up with black rims all of a sudden. hopefully itwont turn into the altezza disease. persoanlly i dont like black rims, they look like stock steelies from further away. as far as weight i hgihly doubt that there would be a noticable difference between black rims and the same rims in silver or gunmetal or other colors, except chrome
whatever to each their own.

BTW....some of you guys really need to learn some manners, its people like you that are really starting to deteriorate this board's opinion. i dont like balck rims but im not going to bash anyone who has them, in fact on some cars, they fit and look decent.

yeah, i noticed alot of dudes gettin black rims. but how about the guys with white rims and silver rims? is there nothing wrong with those rims or something? i just hate "RICERS" rollin on black rims... doesnt look right. if i see a integ with a frount mount and carbon fiber hood.. then black rims are good to go! black cars look tight with black rims, too.

 

its a little too late for that...and i's not gonna stop me from getting a set in BLACK...you can't beat the price...black looks stealth...i like gunmetal and bronze...but i'm broke so i'm gonna get some black slips TO EACH HIS OWN...

If you want to say "stfu noob" i'm down cuz i'm still low on the post ladder, but, as is clearly stated by my tag, I drive a tricked out PICKUP TRUCK. The other vehicles, as the label above them states, in English, belong to my friends. Get it straight before you swing at me for nothing except being a jackass to the guy who posted...cuz my little brother was, just yesterday, thinking about some Konig Glides on his black teg.

 

LMAO!!! I second that riceboy!! Check this, like I mentioned in a previous post. I bought some badly scratched up 94 gsr rims for $150 with no tires. Paid $30 for sandpaper, primer, paint, clear coat, got some tires and now I'm low key.

 

Personally, I do not like black or gunmetal wheels unless the car is a bright color. It's even better if the car has a carbon fiber hood and/or other black stuff to match the wheels and contrast with the paint.
