AP Racing brake kits
Happy new year fella's.
Not been here for awhile, you could say my ITR is being stored for the winter.
I was down at AP Racing HQ earlier today (they supplied my friend with a brand new pair of brake discs for his Evo III FREE of charge because he warped the ones he brought.. yea they knew the car spent 80% of its time on track) and while there I queried them about their kits for the ITR DC2.
They said AP Racing had tested them on the ITR with 17"x7.5" rims! My question is would the AP kit fit on my standard 15's?
Anyone have AP's on their car? If so, what the rim's dimensions?

AP Racing has an application (part no. CP3307-1051) that will fit under some 15x7 wheels.
295x28mm rotor, so just a bit bigger than NSX rotors (same thickness).

Yup I would say they were an overkill too. However why should I get a Spoon kit if I get get AP's for the same price?
What benefit does spoon have over these? I guess weight would be one, any others?

vtecvoodoo had a set under 15x7's on his old EK, I think another h-t member as the brakes now.
As for that car posted above me, good lord almighty those are the ugliest wheels I have ever seen on a car, not counting ones pulling out of the custom installation bays at pep-boys. They look like some sort of medieval throwing weapons.

I can't see needing anything more than stock ITR brakes with good pads unless your car was way way up on power (austrian type-R). The stock brakes will easily excede the grip of even the stickiest R-compounds. The only thing I could see getting them for is better modulation or fade resistance. Niether of which are an issue outside of actual racing. With that being said, I would love a set just for the hell of it. and I believe the AP kit does fit under the stock wheels, but may require spacers.
As to the car posted, I'm going to say a Spyker.
