My friend has a crx and when the motor gets warmed up its starts a random reving (goes up and down) constantly hes not too sure what it is he changed out the computer thinking it went bad but it still revs... PLEASE HELP me with this

 

Usually the first thing you look for when you have a fluctuating idle is vacuum leaks.

 

yea but he had the problem before when it was in his 91 integra he got it swapped in his crx and it does the same i would figure that they would notice a leak if they had the entire motor out already im not too sure though im not a mechanic

 

Hmm...I think vacuum leaks are the most common, but it could be a lot of other things. I'd say his best bet would be to have it looked at by a reputable mechanic.

 

Its either IM gasket,idle air control valve, or vaccum. like mentioned above
