Default Steering wheel troubles!

Alright guys my cars battery was dead the other day so i had to pust start. Not knowing that i was pushing on the steering wheel. Now my steering wheels is loose and moves in all kinds of directions like toward and away from me. Looks like there is a wite plastic clip/ bushing thing moving around inside the column. Any sugg???

you mean the rack end bushings is coming out???!!!??!! first time ive heard of that.






i gues you could push it back in. but you should replace it. its cheap $10. but hard to get at and do.

Not sure i can see it looks like it encircles the whole shaft and is moving back and forth inside the column right behind where the mounts up.

I know it was gonna be ****** hard to get 2. You think it may have just caame out when i was pushin on the wheel?

By the way the the clip is inside my column in the car. Like right behind the steering wheel. I looked in my chilton's, manual and it looks like that if you were to take the steering wheel off it would be right there directly behind it.

oh, were talking about completely different things. i think i was misguided by the mention of the "white plastic thing".

so its your steering column thats loose, not your rack, right?

hmmm... im not familiar with what youre talking about then.

this is a pic of the steering column on a CRX. maybe this will help identify your issue.

Right where the steering column bolts up to the steering wheel where those two holes for the bolts are in the pic, a metal or plstic piece that bolts into that and the piece iam talking about is inside of their. Do you have any suggs, on what it could be???????
