get a custom 3 inch pipe made to bout middle of car.. keep that stock lookin muffler there sleeppperrrrrrrrr

Install question

I just put the thermal exhaust on my car and there is like a 1-2 mm gap between the two pipes. I have a 98 type R. Is this common. Should I try to put a flange inbetween or is it alright as it is. I dont think air is leaking out but I am not sure. Anyone else with a type r install the thermal? Let me know please
