Default Type-R ECU into 01 GSR

I currently own a 2001 GSR. Someone is selling a 2000 ITR ECU and
if I get the ITR ECU will it be a direct PLUG & PLAY connection system, because the factory equipped the 01 GSR with a immobilizer system will I encounter any problems installing the new ecu into my car?

will it work ok? will my immobilizer system still work with my current key?

thanks guys

I don't think that it will work with your key, but I'm not all to familiar with the immobilizer system.

Rather than buying a ITR ecu, just find a chipped P28 and a converter. Seems to me that it would work better.

Do you have a skunk2 manifold? You'll actually lose performance without it.

Not only that, might have to watch the redline w/o ITR springs and valves!

Not to mention that the ITR ECU probably doesn't support working your secondary intake runners....?

Redline you will be fine but if you have the stock intake manifold secondaries won't open

The GSR will bog below 4400 rpms. If you get the ecu, get a Skunk2 manifold......

I actually plan on getting the SKUNK2 manifold and ITR cams too.
but really my main concern is the darn immobilizer system..will it work with my key.
or would i need to remove the system and how do i do that?
thanks!
