i checked all the connections..
power wire connected from battery to fuse to amp
ground connected from the amp to a bolt on the chassis
remote wire running from the antenna wire of the HU to the amp
turn the car to ACC. turn on radio...power light on amp doesnt turn on
turn the car to ON. turn on radio...power light on amp doesnt turn on.
recheck allthe connections...everything is fine.
what could be going wrong? it should still turn on even if the sub or rca wires isnt hooked yet right? ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
i dont know how to check the fuse inside the amp.....

Have you verified there is 12v constant on your battery wire?
Have you verified there is 12v on the remote wire when you turn the radio on?
And yes, amps will turn on without RCA's hooked up.
And generally, there aren't any fuses inside the amp. They're on the endcaps, usually on the same panel as your power connectors...

run a wire from the + to the remote and see if it turns on that way. if it does than your remote wire coming from your hu is the problem. of course checking ground and + from the battery couldnt hurt using a light tester.

well the antenna is going up when i turn on the radio...shouldnt that mean that the wire is sending out a signal?

if you wired the remote to that wire than yes it is giving a signal out ONLY when the radio is on. when you play a cd the antenna wont go up. so rewire it,

sorry..i didnt answer the first time cus i was gonna do it the next day. then i didnt answer the last few times cus i figured out the problem..
all my connections were ood and 12 volt was going..
but i stood the amp up right n it turned on..but when its laying down it wont turn on. i didnt know it had to be upright, cus my friend's amp is just laying there...
but since this is a finished thread...i would like to ask a different question without making a new thread....
How Do You Know You Blew A Fuse?..Is That When It Is No Longer Connected In The Middle Of The Fuse?.........if so, i blew my fuse..

First, what kind of amp is it, I know of no amp that has to be upright to work...
Here is a blown AGU fuse... http://www.figz.com/~hexix/pho...3.jpg and yes if there is no "connection" of the fuse filament, the fuse is blown.
