Anyone here remove their front LCA? I'm having a hard time separating the ball joint. I've use a 5 ton gear puller, and several different hammer whack methods and had no luck. Thankfully the crown nut is a soft metal of I would've stripped the bolt threads on the ball joint already The Helms says to use a scissor type ball joint seperator, but if the gear puller couldn't do it, I can't imagine I will have much more luck with the scissor type bjs...

 

never had any problems removing mine, try a pry bar and hammering ? or just the scissor type ball joint seperator

 

Really? Dang it. I guess I'll just keep on trying then. Gonna go order the scissor type.
