ok ive been working on this crx for a while now trying to get it to run.http://photobucket.com/albums/...3.jpg it turns over but will not start. i have
1. replaced the battery and battery cables
2. replaced the spark plugs and done an ignition check
3. put new gas in the tank
4. replaced the fuel filter
5. replaced the main relay
i removed the outgoing fuel line from the fuel pump to see if gas was reaching the engine and it wasnt. i was hoping the problem was the main relay before this, guess not
anyway my next guess is the fuel pump, yay.
the car has been sitting for about 4 years and was running before it was parked in a carport, could the fuel pump have gone bad during this time?
i just want to be sure this is whats wrong(im on a budget like many of us honda-techs)
any advice would be awesome

I guess you don't hear the fuel pump trying to run when you turn the key on?

Actually man, on second thought you should at least test for power at the pump itself before you go dropping the tank and whatnot. Just to be sure

 

yeah i plan to take a circuit tester to it tommorow

 

if you have a DMM, check for continuity on the connection side towards the fuel pump. you should be receiving batt voltage there. if not, check the connections on the dash fuse box and make sure there all connected.
