wassup, i have a 99 accord automatic, ive seen alot of threads in which people were having problems shifting out of park, well i cannot shift into park, i have to leave the car in neutral, and because i cant shift into park i cant get my key out either, i can shift into any other gear and tha car rides fine but cannot go into park, any suggestions??

 

The button on the shifter must not be working. Does it feel loose?

 

Check with the local dealer to see if you're covered under the ignition interlock recall; you might get a free fix.

 

yeah tha shifter feels tha same to me, if i recall i had took my car up to honda one time for some type of ignition recall, i guess i could check back with them, do you know tha symptons of the ignition interlock if it goes bad, i thought that was the thing where you could take your key out the ignition without the car having the necessarily be in park??
