I know its off topic but i ordered a b16a from canada, now the guy is telling me he needs my social secuity number to import the motor...sounds like bs to me, but anyone have any expirence importing? what are the rules between us and canada?

 

I am not sure about the rules but I think the only reason he would want your social security number would be to do a credit check on you but if you are paying b credit card or paypal I don't see a problem. I wouldn't give him my number.
Btw what is the name of the place you are getting it from?

never heard of them. all I can tell you is in Canada you are not oblige in anyway to give you social security number unless it the government.

technically even here in the USA noone may ask for your SSN except the department of social security.

 

Sounds fishy to me. I wouldn't give it to him. There is no reason that I am aware of that requires your SIN
