Canon EF 28-135mm IS USM lens - $350 *OBO*
Up for sale is everything pictured below:

This was purchased in late May of 2005 from buydig.com. It has an unfilled warranty card, which will be good for at least another 3 months. I used it mainly as my walkaround lens for the past 6 months or so -- it has about 4000 shots on it. Unfortunately, within the first couple 100 shots, it suffered an accident
It is hard to picture, but upon opening my camera bag, the lens rolled out onto the ground and hit concrete about a foot below. Apparently it had shifted in transit (how? I have no clue.. I don't use that bag anymore).
The very next day I got a Canon lens hood for it, which completely hides the scuff mark. Performance wise, nothing was effected to my knowledge. I consider this lens to be incredibly sharp for non L-glass and especially for its price.
The hood completely covers the damage:

Here it is:

The blue arrow points to where the scuff is. You can clearly see that only the OUTSIDE ring was damaged -- nothing close to the glass. Like I said, the hood completely covers this.

Back mount is mint:

Next up are some various samples from the lens on my Rebel XT.
100% crop, Fully zoomed at 135mm:

Image stablization at work, this is only 1/8 shutter speed:

The colors come out simply beautiful from this lens:

Very sharp at every focal range:

Every single one of these shots above have full EXIF information availible on them, and were taken after the 'incident'.
I've also done my own little review on this lens for another photography forum:
http://www.accessphoto.com/forum/ind...showtopic=2044 (lots of pictures)
I hope I've been convincing that the cosmetic damage has had *no* effect on the picture quality. If needed, I would be more than happy to provide straight out of the camera pictures without any editing.
I'm asking $350 OBO. Add 3% for Paypal; I'll pay for USPS Priority Mail shipping (2-3 days to anywhere in the US). If you have any questions, either PM me on here or email me at zoops05@yahoo.com. Both are checked very frequently.
References: 100% positive feedback on ebay, 45+ feedback score under the name zoopsphoto.
I also have a vouch for me on fredmiranda.com from an extremely reputable member.
PM me, IM me, or email me if you have any questions. I'm very easy to get a hold of!

to be honest, I've been so busy with school and midterms, I've barely been home to use it. Spring break is right around the corner and I hope to get a lot of use out of it
The 10D makes the XT look and feel like a toy though

Nope, next Monday I am sending it out to Canon in Irvine, CA for a (hopefully quick) checkup. That should lay to rest any hesitations people may have regarding its performance.
Although at that point, it will basically be a brand new lens with a purely cosmetic scratch. Which, of course, the lens hood covers anyway
