Default H22 sleeve questions, reringing

If someone were to rering an alluminum h22 motor how would you hone it so that the new rings seat in the cylinders? I I was told you cant hone the aluminum sleeves so does that mean to get a good seal again you would have to sleeve the motor to hone to get a good seal? thanks

If it's the stock sleeves, then sure. It is possible and usually works well to just pop in the rings and not worry about honing.

Then again, doing the manual spec's hone wouldn't hurt anything, but it's a fairly fine hone anyways....

Manual specs hone? i dont know what that is? also i heard the sleeves are coated in a material that doesnt allow you to hone. Except for the new Mahley pistons. But my cylinder walls look kinda smooth so is there anyway to hone?

The manual says to hone w/ a fine stone. There IS a by-the-book way of doing it, but from my experience it's not completely necessary.
