My frontcar left wheel on my 99 Accord EX flew off today while driving 70mph. No idea how but all the studs are intact except 1which is bent over so I'm replacing all studs are need to buy lug nuts and wasn't certain which style was correct for stock aluminum wheel. I know the size I just wondered til I saw this post. Thanks.

Is it necessary to retorque lug nuts after first 50stock miles or so? I ask because my wheel flew off today and I had done the front brakes 10 days ago and I know I torqued them to 82lbs,I guess it's also possible that I didn't have the wheel lugs seated properly before I let the jack down and did final torque. I'd have expected the studs and/or theholes in the rim to be mangled but they're not. Only 1had stud is bent. It was making a heck of a racket before the wheel flew off but I thought it was the plastic cover under the front end hanging down and rubbing on drive axel. Boy was I wrong.
