Do a search. Not worth the effort to open the tranny for that piece of crap.

POFS

quiafe, honda, Kazz, Spoon.....there are tons of REAL LSD's....

I reccommend one of the first two....quaife for high power or a JDM one for low power twisty use

the thread starter just dynoed about 185, but is looking to install a full toda valvetrain soon... He'll be making good power. He isn't much for the twisties, I think he's more of a drag guy. (no pun) =P

werd.

if you buy the phantom grip, you'll need to buy a new tranny soon after installation.

if hes just doing a cam route the JDM LSD will be fine. There are plenty of ppl running IPS cams...which make better power than toda. and their LSDs are perfect.

Although the price of the Phantom Grip LSD may be tempting the installation is a pain in the *** to be straight up.

It requires some modification to the spider gears to allow it to fit. Most shops won't even touch it Who wants to grind down gears in a trans. to install a LSD? Thats a huge liability. The extra money you spend on labor could get you either a JDM LSD or Quaife LSD.

I always recommend the Quaife just because of the lifetime warranty to any conditions and any hp level. Although the Type R LSD should hold for his power levels. Keep in mind though the Quaife is only 850 and indestructible.
