my buddy just swapped a jdm b18c into his del sol, wondering if any one else has done this swap becuase the flanges on the end of the header and the one right before the cat dont match up, so right now hes driving around open header...any suggestions???

 

im guessing the del sol was sohc. i had the same problem with my del sol when i did the same swap. its because the headers are bigger to fit an itr exhaust, the cat is way to small. what he could do is go to a muffler shop and get a new flange welded on the sohc cat. i just bought a new cat and a cat back system might as well, but if your friend doesnt have money for that right now the flange idea will work. he will be loosing alot of hp cause of small piping, but it should run fine until he gets money for a cat and cat back system.

 

yeah thats a good idea, hes broke right now but he makes $300 for working fri/sat at a restrauant so he should be alright, thanks for the help
