buying the extended warranty for an 06 SI for $1500 which is a 7yr/100,000 mile bumper to bumper. i think it is CAUSE THE base warranty is 3/36000 B to B and 5/60000 powertrain but for $1500 more u get 7yr/100,00 B to B

no whne your nearing the end of your oem warranty you have an option to extend it
do it than if you forsee problems
half the cars here end up swapped anyhow
take that $ and mod your ride

well than let me throw this at you
06 si ( non navi ) 19.990 + extended warranty 1500 = 21490
06 rsx type s 21754 (invoice) w/ OEM 4yr 50k warrany + roadside= 21754
and i know u like the dc5 more
why not just go that route AND you get free loaner cars during service
i personally like my si MORE than my old tsx just for money savings but for the above comparison u'd be silly not to get the dc5 and later on throw in the lsd from a wrecked si lol

You shouldnt buy one around there then My friend bought his 04 Type-S for 22000..
I personally dont think the warranty is worth it...and Like the other guy said, at the end of the factory warrantty, you'll get a letter from the dealer saying that you factory warrantty is almost over and whether you'd like to extend it...
But if you really want it, get it and also get the insurace for it.. the insurace is for if you never used the extended warrantty, you'll get the full amount back.. It used to be like $100 for it, some dealers offer it for free..
